Manbat Ltd T/A Ecobat Battery Technologies Modern Slavery Statement 2019
This statement is published in accordance with Section 54 [Transparency in Supply Chains] of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It constitutes Manbat Ltd T/A Ecobat Battery Technologies and its UK subsidiaries; Barden UK Ltd, SYBS Ltd, slavery and human trafficking statement for the operating year ending 31 December 2019.

Introduction
Manbat Ltd T/A Ecobat Battery Technologies and its subsidiaries take corporate responsibility seriously to ensure products are sourced in an ethical manner and there is no slavery or human trafficking within our own businesses and
supply chains.

Organisational Structure and Supply Chains
Manbat Ltd T/A Ecobat Battery Technologies and subsidiary businesses operate as wholesale distributors of batteries and battery related products within the UK, including export of products worldwide to retail distributors.

An audit of supply chains forms part of our due diligence to address modern slavery, suppliers are required to submit evidence of their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
The code of Ethics and Business Conduct is endorsed by the senior management team and published to all employees.

Employees and Temporary Agency Workers
Manbat Ltd T/A Ecobat Battery Technologies and subsidiary business only employs people who have legal status to work in the UK. We have procedures in place to ensure that employees’ eligibility to work status is validated in line with current legislation.

Where temporary deployment of labour is required, the business only uses reputable employment agencies to source labour and an audit is undertaken to verify the practices of any new agency before accepting the provision of labour.

Communication and Training
Our employees are aware of our position on modern slavery and human trafficking, those employees who deal with suppliers or are in a position of management are required to familiarise themselves with the Modern Slavery Act in more detail. We review this statement and our Business Code of Conduct policy annually; any updates are notified throughout the business.

Risk Assessment
There are no activities within Manbat Ltd T/A Ecobat Battery Technologies and subsidiary businesses that are at high risk of slavery or human trafficking. Our Ethics Policy upholds the principles of human rights within our procedures and remains integral to our business operations. Violation of these policies by any employee will result in disciplinary action and where appropriate, criminal proceedings will be instituted.

Responsibilities
This statement is reviewed annually and approved by the Managing Director, a copy is made available to employees via local area network and published to the Company website.
